An automated Facebook-to-checkout system for TESDA Bookkeeping NC III reviewees
Project overview
I built an automated system that turns Facebook comments into email leads and, later, paying customers, with no manual follow-up. It posts daily bookkeeping content, captures leads with a free mock assessment, follows up by email for seven days, and offers an eight-module reviewer for ₱99. It's a personal project on a live Facebook Page, built for students preparing for TESDA Bookkeeping NC III (TESDA is the Philippines' national skills certification authority). I planned, built, and tested it solo using n8n, GoHighLevel, AI, and Google Sheets.
The problem
A Facebook Page can collect likes and comments without ever collecting an email address. The owner has no way to follow up, and interested students have no clear next step. This project connects each post to a next step: a question, then a free assessment, then lessons by email, then an optional reviewer.
How it works
1. Daily post (n8n) Every day, n8n prepares a bookkeeping post with a practice question. A second AI check reviews it, and anything unclear is sent to me for approval. Each post ends with a footer: "Comment MOCK for the free mock assessment." A Google Sheet of past posts helps avoid repeated topics. 2. Automatic answer (GoHighLevel) Approved posts go to GoHighLevel, which publishes them to Facebook and adds the answer as the first comment. Readers can try the question before checking the answer. 3. "MOCK" comment trigger When someone comments "MOCK," GoHighLevel replies automatically with a link to the free mock assessment page. Pipeline stage: Engaged Lead. 4. Lead capture The page has buttons that open a short form asking for name and email. After the visitor submits it, the system saves them as a lead and emails the free mock assessment PDF. Pipeline stages: Lead Captured, then Free Mock Delivered. 5. Seven-day email series The lead receives one email a day for seven days, each teaching a simple bookkeeping concept and ending with a readiness check. Every email has a button to the reviewer's sales page. 6. Checkout The button leads to the sales page for the eight-module Complete Reviewer (₱99). After payment, the system sends a confirmation email and labels the person as a buyer. Pipeline stage: Checkout. Checkout currently runs in test mode, so no real money moves. 7. Not checked out (set up for the future) If the seven days end without a purchase, the person moves to a "Not Checked Out" stage. I haven't built a follow-up for this group yet. It's ready for a future re-engagement offer.
Pipeline at a glance
Engaged Lead (commented) → Lead Captured (submitted the form) → Free Mock Delivered (PDF sent) → Checkout (purchased) or Not Checked Out (finished the emails without buying)
Testing and current status
- Tested end to end: the "MOCK" reply, form submission, PDF delivery, email series, and test-mode payment all work together.
- Not yet promoted, no ads, and checkout is in test mode. I have no campaign metrics to report.
What this could do for your business
The same system works for any business that gets attention on social media but doesn't capture leads: a coach offering a free guide, a clinic offering a free consultation, or a course seller offering a free lesson. Only the content, offer, and emails change.
Next steps
If I promote the page, I'll track signups, email opens and clicks, and purchases, and add a follow-up for the "Not Checked Out" group.
